His research, quantified the effect of increased online shopping on consumers’ urban travel demand, which in turn is an important input for travel demand forecasting to inform future transport planning. This knowledge will optimise locations for establishing logistics facilities in the city, reducing travel demands for consumers and service providers, and potentially relieve pressure from the city’s transport system.

Ashu has worked on several academic and industrial projects, such as travel demand forecasting, accessibility studies for public transport facilities and traffic impact assessments. Ashu’s sound technical knowledge of traffic and transportation systems, blended with his leadership skills, makes him a reliable transport professional.
